# Retrieve an event

**GET /api/v1/events/{event}**

Retrieves the details of an event. You need only provide the unique event ID which you would have received in a webhook.

- **event** (string)  
  The ID of the desired event (e.g., `ev_1a2b3c4d5e6f`).

Returns an event object if a valid ID was provided.
